Wednesday Night Group Runs @ Lock 14 on the I & M Canal
Jun 28 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Runners of all abilities are invited.
Group meets between 6:00-6:15 PM. Runners take off at 6:15 PM.
Group meets at Lock 14 on the I & M Canal, LaSalle
Length of runs vary. Runs are on the towpath.
Lock 14 is located off of Route 351 in LaSalle. Entrance to parking near Lock 14 is just North of ShippingsPort Bridge connecting LaSalle and Oglesby.

Walnut 5k Run/Walk for ALS @ Walnut
Jul 1 all-day

5k Run/Walk for ALS Awareness – Awards: male & Female 1,2,3rd place trophies. Trophies to first male & female Walnut finishers. – Medals to 1,2,3rd in age groups: – 10 & under – 11-14 – 15-19 – 20-24 – 25-29 – 30-34 – 35-39 – 40-44 – 45-49 – 50-54 – 55-59 – 60-64 – 65-69 – 70-74 – 75 & over – Timing and results will be provided by Racing Expectations. – Results will be available after the race is completed and will be posted at: www.racingexpectations.com and www.starvedrockruners.org. – Awards will follow. – No pets or bicycles allowed. – Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome to participate In case of race cancellation (due to events beyond our control) we thank you for your donation.

Run For Glory @ City Park, Streator, IL
Jul 1 @ 8:00 am

Friendly and fast 5K, starting at City Park in Streator, and running through quiet neighborhoods. The course is fairly flat and fast, with two small hills, and the course is an out and back route. The 5K Run For Glory kicks off Streator’s awesome 4th of July celebration. Nice trophies for first place overall male and female finishers, and for the first Streator male and female finishers. Medals for top three finishers in each age group. Male and female age groups are : 13 & under, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over. Water on course at 1 and 2 miles. T-shirts for all entrants. Walkers are welcome. Registration starts at 6:30 am with race starting at 8 am. Delicious fruit and beverages following the race. Finish and timing provided by Starved Rock Runners Club. Results will be posted at starvedrockrunners.org. Fun family event!

Kids Running Clinic presented by the Starved Rock Runners @ Baker Lake

Date: Every Monday beginning June 12th thru August 14th, 2017.
Location: Baker Lake, Peru, IL, East entrance off of Airport Road.
Time: 6:00-7:00 PM.
 
Cost: $10.00. FREE for members of SRRL.

Free entry to the Alzheimer’s 5k Run on August 20, 2016 for all who complete 5 clinic sessions.
 
 
Different programs for ages 7-18 based on abilities and goals.

Galva Freedom Fest 5K run/walk @ Galva, Illinois, 61434
Jul 4 all-day

5K run / walk and Kids 1/2 mile fun run. Held in conjunction with the Galva Freedom Fest. Race includes chip timing, Da$h for Ca$h, we will also be giving away $100.00 for every 100 entries for the 5K run walk, and a most patriotic costume award. A full day of fun for the whole family and the night finishes with Henry Counties largest fireworks display. A pancake and sausage breakfast is also available the morning of the race at Wiley Park for a fee.

Genesis Firecracker Run @ Starting Line

Genesis Firecracker Run start and finish lines are downtown East Moline (8th Street & 15th Avenue). 5K/10K Races at 7:30 A.M., Kiddie Run at 8:45 A.M., The Triumph Mile at 9:15 A.M., Hospital Bed Races at 10:00 A.M. Race day packet pickup – 6:00 A.M. – 7:30 A.M. at 733 15th Avenue, East Moline, IL 61244 (by starting line).

Movin’ for Music 5k Walk/Run @ Hennepin Park District Swimming Pool
Jul 4 all-day

Race Date & Start Time: Tuesday, July 4, 2017 8:00am Race Start Location: Hennepin Park District Pool The course is relatively flat and out and back. Race will be held rain or shine. Packet Pickup & Registration: Tuesday, July 4th 6:30-7:30am Entry Fees: $20 Early Registration (Due By June 30th) $25 Late or Race Day Registration Team Entry (5 person): $75 Early Registration (Due by June 30th) $100 Late or Race Day Registration. Race shirts will be on a first come first serve basis with registration. Proceeds to raise money for the future travels of Putnam County music students.

Bureau Valley 5K Renaissance Run (Formerly the Nancy Jo Olds-Bohm Run) @ Wyanet, IL
Jul 8 @ 8:00 am

5K Certified Course (IL09070JW) with splits at miles 1 and 2. It is Electronically timed with finish times available at the conclusion of the race. This is a flat, fast course with a few gentle hills and is looped through city streets. There will be water stops at miles 1 & 2. Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each age group and trophies for overall male and female runners. This will benefit the Bureau Valley High School Renaissance program–a program that includes ALL students at Bureau Valley High School and the Wyanet Community Club. Dog Days 5K @ Lake Bloomington
Jul 8 @ 6:00 pm

SRRL Circuit Race.

Entry Fee: $20.00 if postmarked before July 6th, $27.00 after July 6th, $15.00 if you do want a shirt. $2.00 discount to LRC and SRRL members before July 6th. NO DISCOUNT AFTER JULY 6th.

COURSE: A portion of Lake Bloomington’s Inner-Loop with a start and finish next to Green Gables. Splits at miles 1 & 2. Two water stops

AWARDS: Overall male & female, top three finishers in in of the following age groups: 8 & under, 9-14,15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60-64, 65-70, 71 & over.

This course is NOT closed to traffic. No headsets or stollers will be allowed during the race.

Check-in on race day (July 8) will be from 4:30-5:45pm near Green Gables. Make checks payable to: Lake Run Club
