Lock 14 is located off of Route 351 in LaSalle. Entrance to parking near Lock 14 is just North of ShippingsPort Bridge connecting LaSalle and Oglesby.

Bare Bones 10K @ Rock Island Trail - Alta Trailhead
Apr 1 all-day

Simple 10K out and back on the Rock Island Trail! Age group awards to top three male and female participants. Overall awards awarded to top male and female finishers. Participants will receive a race specific short sleeve shirt. Participants will also receive light snacks after the race at the Alta Rd. Trailhead parking lot.

Rails to Trails Bare Bones 10K Race Time: 8:00 AM. Packet Pick-Up: Friday, March 31st from 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM at Running Central (311 SW Water St., Fl-1, Peoria, IL 61602) or Saturday, April 1st from 7:00 AM – 7:45 AM at the Alta Rd. Trailhead. Participants will receive a race specific short sleeve shirt. Participants will also receive light snacks after the race at the Alta Rd. Trailhead parking lot. What you need to know for the 2017 Lincoln Presidential Half Marathon

Date: Saturday, April 1, 2017, 7:30 a.m.

Start: 6th Street and Washington, in front of the Old State Capitol

Finish: Washington Street (between 5th and 6th) in front of the Old State Capitol,

Expo (packet pickup & registration): Friday, March 31, 2017, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm @ the President Lincoln Hotel, 701 E. Adams (two blocks from start)

Race Day Registration & Pickup: Saturday, April 1, 2017, 6:30 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. @ the President Lincoln Hotel, 701 E. Adams (two blocks from start)

Race Weekend Registration Fees– in person registration can be done at the Expo (March 31) and race morning (April 1) for $80. There are no club or other discounts. In addition, no race shirts will be available for race weekend registrants.

Parking: There is ample Expo and Race Day Parking at the parking ramps along 7th Street between Washington and Monroe and at metered spots downtown (meters don’t run after 5:00pm) and are free on Saturday.

Road Closures: participants and spectators should be aware that Washington between 5th and 6th will be closed starting at 4pm Friday, and 6th Street (one way north-bound) will be closed to traffic between Cook and Madison at approximately 6:30 am on Saturday to allow for start line set up.

8th Moose Miles 5k Run/Walk @ Ottawa Moose Lodge

The Race course is a 3.1 mile paved course for runners and walkers that starts and finishes at the Moose Lodge in Ottawa. The course winds around the Dayton Township neighborhood featuring two hills and a calming atmosphere. Mike markers will be at each mile as well as water and times available along the course, and at the finish line. The race supports Mooseheart which is solely supported by the Moose Lodges around the world. Mooseheart cares for youth whose families are unableto, for a variety of reasons. Mooseheart provides the children with a wholesome homelike enviornment and the best possible training and education. The proceeds of this event will help furnish the resources necessary to care for these children.

Advocate Healthcare Spring Chance BQ.2 Marathon @ Fabyan Forest Preserve West

The Spring Chance BQ.2 is a race designed specifically to get YOU to Boston. Featuring a net downhill, (thanks to a gentle grade on the 0.3 mile starting spur), the 3.21 mile loop course offers plenty of shade, scenic views of parks and forest preserves bordering the river, and a glimpse of downtown Batavia.

St. Margaret’s 5th Annual Habit for Health 10K and 3 Mile Fun Run @ St. Margaret's Hospital

The Habit for Health benefits the ongoing construction and renovations to the Hospital, including the Esophageal and Colon Cancer Prevention Center. The Habit for Health 10K course is USATF certified. Our 3M Fun Run is not USATF certified. We offer long sleeved dry-fit T-shirts for 10K participants and short sleeved dry-fit T-shirts for 3M participants. Participants signed up after 4/15/17 are not guaranteed a T-shirt. Each year, runners and walkers receive great “swag”. Participants signed up after 4/24 are not guarenteed “swag”, so make sure you do not miss out on what we are giving away this year!! Medals for 1st-3rd place Male and Female winner in each age group for both the 10K and the 3M Fun Run. Overall Winners receive extra “swag”! Music and refreshments before and after the race! 10K race begins on 2nd Street near the West Pavillion of the Hospital. The race runs West on 2nd St. to Strong, and up through the Senior Housing Subdivision, East on 4th to Greenwood, heading North on Greenwood, and then West on the Peru-Princeton blacktop to a turnaround. Run back East toward Greenwood and South to 3rd Street, left on Strong, left on 1st to the finish line near the West Pavillion of the Hospital. The 3 Mile Fun Run starts and finishes at the same place as the 10K but does not go out North on Greenwood or the Peru-Princeton Blacktop. Registration will be open from 7:30 – 8:50, race starts at 9:00AM

Run for Respect 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run @ Pontiac Township High School

Cost: $20.00 –$2 discount for LRC Members—Students through college: $10.00 Help us Spread The Word To End The Word by replacing the r-word with the NEW r-word RESPECT! All proceeds from the Run for Respect benefit Special Olympics and Pontiac Township High School’s Peers In Action programs. THIS YEAR’S THEME IS RESPECT IS MY SUPERPOWER! COME DRESSED AS YOUR FAVORITE SUPERHERO (optional)! RACE: Accurately measured chip timed flat 5K which begins and ends at Pontiac Township High School 5K starts at 10:00am and 1 mile walk starts after the 5K runners take off (on the high school track) Water stop at mile 2 AWARDS: 5K, overall male/female and male/female age groups REFRESHMENTS: Light refreshments provided. REGISTRATION/ENTRY: 5K and Fun Run Participants registering by 4/7/2017 will receive a dry-blend t-shirt. No guarantees for shirts after 4/7/2017. Team: Come as a team (3 or more) and Earn Special Recognition and a Team Plaque!
