Race Directors can now enter all of the information to have their race listed on the Starved Rock Runner calendar. For your race to be listed, it MUST be a competitive timed event. Virtual runs will NOT be posted. To have your event listed on the SRR Ltd. calendar, please send an e-mail to email@example.com requesting instructions on how to list your race. You will receive a return email with instructions on how to post your race.
The event takes place on a challenging, unique course right on the grounds of St. Bede during Homecoming Weekend. Net proceeds from the event go to the Jim Lattin Scholorship Fund to benefit a student attending St. Bede Academy, with a portion toing to the St. Bede Alumni Association.
All participants receive a T-shirt.
Post-race refreshments and water will be provided.

The 10th Annual Holy Family Shuffle is a 3-Mile Walk/Run, starting and finishing at Holy Family School. Entry fee is $25.00 if received on or before 09/24/21 and $30.00 after 09/24/21, including race day. Family special – 4 or more from one family in one envelope (advance only) – $75.00 – limited to immediate family in the same household. A Kids Fun Run is also offered to children for $15 after the 3-Mile race. A free T-shirt is guaranteed to all who pre-register. Please mail registration and check to Holy Family School 336 Alice Ave. Oglesby, IL 61348. Runners are chip timed. Time and finish line are provided by Racing Expectations. A water stop is available at mile 2, and free drinks and snacks are provided after the race. Trophies are awarded to the top overall male and female finishers and top overall male and female Holy Family School students. Medals are awarded to the top 3 males and females in each age division. Age divisions include: 9 & under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & over. Race check in begins at 8:30 a.m. in the school gym on race day, and the race will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m.
What could be better than running through a cemetery on Halloween night?? Trunk or Treating while running through a cemetery on Halloween night!!
The run/walk will start near the base of the Michael Sonnemaker statue and then wind past the mausoleums and monuments in Springdale.
(Don’t be afraid – all the spooks and goblins are trick-or-treating elsewhere.) Along the way there will be trunk or treat stations to fill your goodie bag!
There will also be a Virtual Ghosting Trot – for those who prefer to haunt in their own graveyards.
New this year: Toddler Trot – so even the youngest ghouls and boos can get their spooky sprint on Halloween! Every Toddler Trotter will get a medal and a treat bag!

Packet Pickup and race day registration starts at 8:00am in the school cafeteria
Entry Fee: $30 through October 9th, $35 after October 9th through race day
Awards: Top overall male and female. Age bracket awards: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54. 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & up.
This chip timed 10k starts and finishes at the Putnam County Junior High School located at 13183 N 350th Ave, McNabb, IL 61335. It is an out and back 10k on nicely paved county roads surrounded by beautiful country scenery. The course is a mix of hills and flat areas. Water stations will be available on the course. Strollers and walkers welcome, but please no headphones. There will be volunteers at each mile marker and intersection for traffic control but the course will be open to traffic. Emergency crew coverage available. There is a two hour time limit on the course. Post-race food and beverages provided. Race sweatshirt guaranteed to all participants who are pre-registered by November 1st, 2021. After that and through race day, a sweatshirt is not guaranteed.

This will be the second year at new location, Elks of Oglesby 800 E Walnut Oglesby, IL. 500 Winter Headbands for pre-registered.
Free Youth Run as well and giveaways for youth. Packet pick up is November, 24th 4:00pm-7:00pm at Elks of Oglesby.
Day of race 25th 7:00am- 8:45am. Chip timed. The Race will be held in accord with Governor guidelines. Snacks and Drinks for all. *Must be 21 for alcohol*
