Bethel Lutheran School Pancake Run

Packet pick up is Friday, March 17 from 3-5 and Saturday, March 18 from 8-9 at Bethel Lutheran Church. Registration fee includes 1 ticket to the pancake breakfast, 1 shirt, 1 travel mug, and 1 hot cocoa from Eli's coffee shop. Shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations completed through February 24th. Participants ages 16 and younger will automatically receive a $10 discount. The race course trails through neighborhoods close to the church. A water table will be set up along the 5K course, roughly half way through. Chip timing provided by It's Race Time, Inc. This event benefits Bethel Lutheran School's PTL and is associated with the school's annual pancake breakfast, open house, and book fair.

37th Lori’s Walleye Run 5K

$30.00 by March 17th, $35.00 through race day. Race Day registration & packet pick up start at 7:30AM through 8:30AM at Hall High School. Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female finishers in each of the following age group divisions: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80 and over. In addition, awards will be given to the first overall male and female finishers, and the first male and female residence of Spring Valley.
The course starts and ends in the parking lot of Hall High School. It is an out and back with gentle rolling hills. There will be no water on the course, but will be available at the finish line. A long sleeve uni-sex T-shirt is guaranteed only to pre-registered participants who register on or before 3/13/2023.

Morris Superhero Run

The 8th Annual Morris Superhero Run is a USATF certified 5K course that starts and ends at the Grundy County Courthouse in charming Morris, IL. Enjoy a beautiful course that includes about 1 mile on the I & M Canal. Water stop available about halfway through and at the end of the race. Snacks and swag are provided by sponsors.
The beneficiary is Canine Companions! The leader in service dog training for adults, children, veterans, hospitals, and criminal justice programs at no cost to the individual. Please help us raise money for this wonderful organization.
Saturday, April 15th, 2023 for a 9 am start. Participation medals and t-shirts with entry. Additional awards for top overall male and female finishers, as well as age categories, to our oldest and youngest 5K runners.
We also have a Kids 1K that starts at 10 am to encourage healthy behaviors in youth! Includes a t-shirt, participation medals, and age group awards for males and females.
Packet Pickup is April 14th, 4-6 pm at FOE, or the day of the race until 8:45 am
No Dogs are allowed on the course unless they are service animals. This is for the safety of our runners.

Christie Clinic Illinois Race Weekend

Braidwood Memorial Day 5K

The inaugural Braidwood Memorial Day 5K, presented by Constellation, will take place on Saturday May 27, 2023, with all proceeds from the event benefiting Honor Flight Chicago
The race will begin and end in the Braidwood Park District’s Old Smokey City Park with the course winding thru the residential streets surrounding the park.
Registration will begin at 6am.
Run will begin at 9am.

Registration fee is $30.00 (+$3.86 signup fee).
Participants will receive an event t-shirt (other items may possibly be added).
Registration is capped at 2,500 participants.

Nina LeCuyer Memorial 5K

Please join us as a runner/walker in our 4th running of the Nina LeCuyer Memorial 5K! The run will
start/end at the American Legion in Sheridan and the route runs the streets through the village.

The 14th Annual Women's Clinic is a clinic for women. The Clinic is held every Monday night at 6:00PM from June 5th through August 14th (no clinic on July 3rd).
The goals of the clinic are to improve motivation; promote health, fitness and self confidence through unique training for women by women.
Registration includes a free moisture wicking clinic T-Shirt and a chance to win a FREE entry into the Boo Milby 5K on August 19th.
The Clinic coincides with the Starved Rock Runners Kids Running Clinic (held at Baker Lake a few blocks away).
Registration is $15.00before June first and $20.00 after June 1st for members.

Race with your Heart

Join us for a leisurely 1.5 mile walk on a flat surface around Eureka Lake or enter into one of our two challenging and competitive races. Both race courses are beautiful; going through the woodlands along Eureka Lake. The 10K also has a short loop in a nearby quiet neighborhood. Both 5K and 10K distance available. Course is mostly flat with a couple of significant hills one of which ascends Eureka Lake dam and near the finish line. There is an additional hill for the 10K runners ascending to the neighborhood.

Pre-register by May 10 for $25 and be guaranteed an official race t-shirt, or sign up until race time for $30. $50 gift certificate to male and female overall race winners plus medallions awarded to top three male and female finishers in every age grouping. We will have raffles, free pancake and sausage breakfast with fruit (breakfast is for EVERYONE in attendance) along with a family-friendly post-race celebration! So plan to participate or bring your cheering section as everyone goes home a winner because it supports the Heartline and Heart House mission.

Clinic participants will receive an event T-Shirt. The clinic will teach stretching and warm-up techniques, as well as running instruction. Participants that complete a minimum of 5 clinic sessions will receive a FREE entry into the Boo Milby 5K that is the week after the clinic ends (August 19th). The Clinic is designed to build self confidence, improve running stamina, and is a great start to a lifetime of fitness

Run the Plank 5K

Run the Plank (To Support the Pirate Cross Country Team)

Runners and walkers are welcome to tackle the course. The course starts at Ottawa High School, runs through the scenic river walk, I&M Canal and winds the east side to finish back at Ottawa High School. Distance will be measured but not certified due to pending construction on Green Street (3.1 miles). Chip timed by Racing Expectations with LIVE results. Age groups for medals will be determined on number of entrants registered. All pre-registered participants receive a Pirate Plank Key Chain Medal and t-shirt. Water stations and post race nutrition, including "Run the Plank" cookies will be provided.

Race day registration / packet pick-up @ 8:00am at the north lot across from the high school.
Race start time @ 9:00am

Additional donations can be made to the Ottawa Cross Country team on the registration website.

Cost = $25

We will Run The Plank rain or shine. In the event of cancelation due to extreme weather there will not be a make up date.

Run For Glory 5K

Friendly and fast 5k, starting and finishing at City Park in Streator, and running through quiet neighborhoods. The course is a flat and fast out and back route, with two small hills. The 5k Run for Glory kicks off Streator's awesome 4th of July festivities and all proceeds go to the Streator 4th of July Celebration. Nice awards for first place overall male and female finishers, and for first Streator male and female finishers. Medals for top three finishers in each age group. Male and female age groups are as follows: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and over. Guns ‘N’ Hoses Challenge
• When registering you'll be asked to specify City/Dept/Team Name.
• G-n-H participants can enter either the 5K or 10K. A team's time will consist of averaging the 4 fastest times. Team members can enter either the 5K or 10K (if 10K we use half of your finish time).
• Teams comprised of current or retired members of QC area police and fire departments.
• Teams must have a 4 person minimum, police, fire, or combination.
• Times for each team will be combined by using the 4 fastest team finishers’ average times.
• Winning team will receive the traveling trophy to display at their dept/city hall.
• Each team member must submit an individual entry and specify which team (department) they represent.

Dog Days 5K

The Lake Run Club presents: Dog Days 5K. This race will take place on Saturday, July 8th, 2023, at 6 pm. This is race and awards are certified by the Starved Rock Circuit.
Yes! We have awards! The top male and female finishers, in addition to the top three finishers in each age group will get prizes.
Timing will be done by ItsRaceTime. For registration, head to itsracetime.com. The first 100 people who pre-register will get their own Doggone technical shirts! There is a limited number of race day t-shirts, so be sure to sign-up early!
As for packet pickup, come by Often Running shoe store on Friday, July 7 from 5-6pm. Race check-in will take place from 4:30 to 5:45pm near the Green Gables Bar and Grill.

Taste 5K

Course starts and finishes on the south side of Centennial Park in Peru, IL. Certified distance, chip timed, computerized race results with results posted on Starved Rock Runners web site.
There will be two water stops on the course. Traffic control.
Pre-registered participants will receive a uni-sex T-shirt.
Awards will be given to the overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three finishers in each of the following age groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74 and 57 and up.

2023 Evergreen Lake 5K & 1/4 Mile Fun Run

Hey runners! Come out on August 5th for a 5K race benefitting the McLean County Parks and Rec and the LRC. Participants will run a certified 5K along paved roads at Lake Evergreen.
There will be male and female overall winners; age groups awards will be done in five year age groups.

30th Annual Underground Railroad 5k

Join us for the 30th Annual Underground Railroad 5k! This race is held over Princeton's Homestead Weekend on Saturday, September 9th. You can pick-up your race packet early on Friday, September 8th, between 3pm-5:30pm, at the Bureau County Metro Center. Day of Registration and Packet pick-up will begin at 7am. The Kiddie Fun Run is at 8am, with the 5k race starting at 8:30am. Timing is done by Racing Expectations, with a Gun Start & Chip Finish. This 5k follows a nice out-and-back course, with a beautiful countryside view. There are 2 water stations located near the mile markers. Race shirts are guaranteed to all pre-registered participants. 12th Annual Nik’s Home Run – 7K Run, 1.5 Mile Fun Walk, & Grammy’s Auction

On Saturday, October 14th, 2023, we’re holding our 12th Annual Nik’s Home Run event at Rockford Rivets Stadium, 4503 Interstate Blvd., Loves Park, IL. It’s a 7K Run, 1.5 Mile Fun Walk, Virtual 5K, and a display of Grammy’s Auction items available for online bids. The Stadium opens at 8:00 AM (FREE Admission). The 7K Run and Fun Walk start at 9:00 AM for those registered.

This is Nik’s Home Run 7th year on the Rockford Road Runners Circuit as a Certified USATF Race with chip-to-chip timing. Splits are announced at each mile marker. (Walkers are not timed.) Water and first aid stations are available. $100 goes to the overall male & female winners. Age group, team, and para-athlete winners will also be recognized. If dedicating your race to someone, bring a copy of their picture for our Dreaming Tree.

The Fun Walk is $25. The 7K Run is $35 until Oct 1st, then $40 after. All registrants will get an awesome Goodie SWAG Bag and a chance to win 2 Bears tickets. Heartland Haunted Harvest 5K and Kids Fun Run

The 10th Annual Heartland Haunted Harvest 5K and Kids Fun Run will be held on Sunday, October 29 starting at noon. Costumes aren't required, but awards will be given to the best-dressed.

There are three options to participate: individual, teams (of 3 or more) or 1-mile Kids Fun Run

After the race, participants will be invited to an after-party with food trucks, music, and refreshments for an afternoon of family fun with the Heartland Hawks. There will also be a bounce house, trunk-or-treat and face-painting for kids!

Run the Path 10k

This chip timed 10k starts and finishes at the Putnam County Junior High School located at 13183 N 350th Ave, McNabb, IL 61335.
It is an out and back 10k on nicely paved county roads surrounded by beautiful country scenery. The course is a mix of hills and flat areas. Water stations will be available on the course.
Strollers and walkers welcome, but please no headphones.
There will be volunteers at each mile marker and intersection for traffic control but the course will be open to traffic.
Emergency crew coverage available. There is a two hour time limit on the course. Post-race food and beverages provided. Race sweatshirt guaranteed to all participants who are pre-registered by October 7th, 2023. After that and through race day, a sweatshirt is not guaranteed.

Participants passing one another on the course must adhere to “no drafting” rules which include being no closer than 10 feet behind or in front of, or 6 feet beside other competitors at any time. Before passing, participants must be sure they can safely remain 10 feet behind and then 10 feet in front of the participant being overtaken before merging back to the side of the roadway.

This a members (and prospective member) club fun run. It will start and end at Lou's LaGrotto in Peru. The run will take in portions of the Taste 5K. The Club will purchase the pizza for the night. Expo and Packet Pick Up is at the Activities and Recreation Center on the campus of the University of Illinois on April 25 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, April 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. 5-year age groups for all events (except the Youth Run). 4th-Mile Street Fest on Friday night after the 5K on Kirby Avenue between Fourth and First Streets. 27th-Mile Celebrate Victory Bash Street Fest on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Both street fests include live music, food trucks, Riggs Beer Garden (all entrants over 21 receive on beer as part of their registration), and more. FREE parking at the State Farm Center and other U of I parking lots. B-tag timing. Over 50 charities receive donations from the race.

The routes offer beautiful, scenic tours of revitalized downtown streets, tree-lined residential neighborhoods, and awesome, paved park trails. Thousands of friendly and fun fans and volunteers exemplify Midwest hospitality.

5k Run/Walk with Community Partners

April marks Child Abuse Awareness Month and Sexual Assault Awareness Month. To help raise awareness on the subjects of child abuse and sexual assault within the community, Braveheart CAC is hosting the 2nd Annual Superhero 5k run/walk on Saturday, April 27th! The morning kicks off at 10:00am with the 5k run/walk and it is followed by the kid's superhero fun run. The kid's run is complimentary. Participants in the kids run will receive a goodie bag. Awards will be provided to the following male & female categories; 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29,30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over. There will be family activities; bounce house provided by Have a Seat Rentals, bake sale and face painting. Local exhibitors will be set up during the run to share their resources with our community. Braveheart CAC is a not for profit organization that provides services to child abuse victims. Our mission is to strengthen our community’s response to child abuse through prevention, intervention and advocacy. We help connect children and families to needed resources, pay for specialized therapy and medical services for kids, and offer community education presentations on child abuse and prevention. We provide all of our services free of charge to children and their families. Each day at Braveheart abused and neglected children find hope and healing. We work to provide a therapeutic environment that allows children to work through their trauma while feeling safe. We stand together with law enforcement, states attorney offices, department of family resources, medical and mental health partners. Furthermore, we serve Henry, Bureau, Stark, Marshall, and Putnam County.

Braveheart is a name that represents the courage it takes for children to tell their stories, the dedication of our team, the innocence at the heart of every child and the community who speak up in partnership with us.

The Lake Run

Please note, there will be no paper registration offering at any point. You must register online before registration closes or the distance of your choice sells out.

"May the 4th be with you" Star Wars dressed runners will be eligible for awards

The first Lake Run, a loop around Lake Bloomington, was held in 1982 and had 224 finishers. The race became an annual event, added a shorter loop and continues to grow each year. In addition to the standard age group classifications, the race has footpounder classes for men over 220 lb and women over 190 lb, as well as footpounder light: 190-219 lb (men) and 150lb - 179lb (women).

You can select from the 12K or 4.37 Mile races, each have chip timing and race results posted live during the event.

Maps provided and signs along the path. Timing is through Race Time Inc. This is a fundraiser for the Earlville PTA to help raise money for the school, students and teachers. Braidwood Memorial Day 5k

Mark your calendars and come on out to support this very worthwhile cause. This will be the 2nd annual Braidwood Memorial Day 5K, presented by Constellation, will take place on Sunday May 19, 2024, with all proceeds from the event benefiting Robert Irvine Foundation
The race will begin and end in the Braidwood Park District’s Old Smokey City Park with the course winding thru the residential streets surrounding the park.
Registration will begin at 7am.
Run will begin at 9am.

Nina LeCuyer Memorial 5K

Please join us as a runner/walker in our 6th running of the Nina LeCuyer Memorial 5K! The run will start/end at the American Legion in Sheridan and the route runs the streets through the village. The $35 registration fee gets you:

· Entry into the 5K race.

· Legion’s Memorial Day Breakfast following the run. Breakfast will open at 0830.

· Invitation to the Legion’s Memoria Day Ceremony to honor those that have served our country (will begin after breakfast).

Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers as well the the top Veteran, and then to the top three male and female finishers in 14 age divisions starting 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24. 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.

Race Day registration will be available starting at 0630 with appropriate distancing and controls.

This run was a dream of Nina LeCuyer, a long-time supporter of Legion Post 0729. To honor her memory, all proceeds from this and future events will support someone in need from the community or to support the Illinois Veteran's Home.

Streator Family YMCA Memorial Day 5K race

Come join us for our ANNUAL Memorial Day 5K, hosted by and benefitting the Streator Family YMCA!

Registration opens March 22, 2024 online.

Course starts and finishes in front of the Streator Family YMCA. Certified distance, chip timed, traffic control, computerized race results with results posted on Starved Rock Runners website. There are no water stops on the course. Water bottles are available before and after the race with fruit and breakfast bars provided after.

Plenty of parking. Course is a nice mix of residential, country landscape, shade trees and open air. Run over the Vermillion River bridge and challenge yourself to the hill on this out-and-back course.

Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers in each age bracket, the Overall Male & Female Finishers, & the top male and female finisher from Streator. Age Divisions: (one each for male & female) 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and over. Awards will be given at the conclusion of the race.

All levels of runners welcome, from advanced to novice. Walkers also welcome.

Race With Your Heart

Join us for a leisurely 1.5 mile walk on a flat surface around Eureka Lake or enter into one of our two challenging and competitive races. Our race course is beautiful; going through the woodlands along Eureka Lake and through local subdivisions. Both 5K and 10K distances available. Course is mostly flat with a couple of significant hills ascending Eureka Lake dam.

We will have raffles, free pancake and sausage breakfast , along with a family-friendly post-race celebration! Plan to participate or bring your cheering section as everyone goes home a winner because it supports the Heartline and Heart House mission.

Run the Plank 5K

Steer your ship towards Ottawa High School and come out to support the OTHS Cross Country team and the American Heart Association. This will be the 2nd running of the Run The Plank 5k. It will take place on Saturday June 15, 2024.

The race will begin and end in front of Historic Ottawa Township High School, passing through Fox River Park to the picturesque I&M canal and finishing by winding through the residential streets of the historic East Side.
Race day registration will begin at 8am.
Race will begin at 9am.
Pre registered participants will receive an event t-shirt (other items may possibly be added).
Walkers and families are welcome to participate.
The race will be taking place on a certified course.

Run For Glory 5K

The Run for Glory is a friendly and fast 5K, starting and finishing at City Park in Streator. The course is flat and fast, with two small hills, and the course is an out and back route through quiet neighborhoods. The 5K Run For Glory helps support the fireworks and the Streator Fest Celebration. Nice awards for first place overall male and female finishers, and for first Streator male and female finishers. Medals for top three finishers in each age group. Male and female age groups are as follows: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and over. Water on course at 1 and 2 miles. T-shirts for all entrants. Walkers are welcome. Delicious fruit and beverages following the race. Timing provided by Racing Expectations. 24 Annual Reagan Run 5k - Course runs thru downtown Dixon, across the Rock River, a mile loop in the woods, return across the Rock and finish at Haymarket Square park. Food and refreshments provided. Fast & Fun course. Chip timed. All proceeds to Dixon YMCA, Park District, Main Street & DHS Boosters. 5 member Corporate Team Challenge also available.

31st Annual Underground Railroad 5K

The 5K race is in its 31st year here in Princeton during Homestead Days. There will be a free Kiddy Run before the actual race begins. The registration and packet pickup will be at 7 am. The entry fee will be $25 on or before 8/7, and $30 on or before 8/8. Awards for overall top Male and Female. The top Princeton Male and Female will also receive an award. 2024 Belleville Main Street Marathon and Half Marathon

RUN AMERICA'S LONGEST MAIN STREET!!!
Join us on September 28, 2024, in historic Belleville, IL (about 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis, MO) for our full and half marathons that are great for both novice and seasoned runners and feature an affordable registration fee, ENTHUSIASTIC volunteers/course support, ample hydration stations, and small town charm with ammenities that match those of a big city race! Our 8th annual full marathon is a runner-pleasing, Boston Marathon–qualifying course that includes about 16 miles of city streets and about 10 miles of a portion of a paved biking/walking trail, and both the full and half marathons include America’s longest Main Street and neighborhood roads.

2024 COURSE SUPPORT: Water and Gatorade will be available about every 2 miles on the course. Gu also will be available at several locations (check the website later for more specific locations).

COURSE: The full and half marathons will begin and end on Main Street near First Street in downtown Belleville, IL (near 19 Public Square, Belleville 62220). The full marathon course is a certified Boston Marathon-qualifying course. The FULL MARATHON will be on about 16 miles of city streets, including America's longest Main Street, and about 10 miles on the St. Clair County Transit District's paved biking/walking trail. The HALF MARATHON will be on city streets, including America's longest Main Street. Full marathon participants must be at mile 13 by 10:23 AM or they will be transported by an official race vehicle to another point on the course and allowed to cross the finish line with an unofficial time and to receive a finisher medal. Half marathon participants must by at mile 6.5 by 8:50 AM and complete the course by 10:30 AM to receive an official race time. If runners of either race are on the course after volunteers have been dismissed, those runners must move to the sidewalks.

AWARDS
-For the FULL MARATHON, the top 3 overall male and female finishers; top male and female master finishers; and top male and female wheelchair finishers will receive awards as will the top 3 male and female finishers in each of the following age divisions: 18-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; and 70 & older. Due to liability and safety issues, the age limit requirement of being 18 or older will be strictly enforced for the FULL MARATHON.
-For the HALF MARATHON, the top 3 overall male and female finishers; top male and female master finishers; and top male and female wheelchair finishers will receive awards as will the top 3 male and female finishers in each of the following age divisions: 19 and younger; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; and 70 & older. There is no age limit for the half marathon.

SWAG: All finishers, regardless of placement, will receive a participant medal, and anyone who registers before September 14 is gauranteed an event shirt.

Bring JOY to young adults, and their families, fighting cancer. Nik discovered that young adults over 17 are not eligible for a "wish." In fact, most pediatric support programs age out at 18 and adult programs start at 25 leaving a gap for young adults. Nik asked us to help young adults fighting cancer have a wish too!
