SUMMARY:Santas On The Run XI
DESCRIPTION:Whether you are looking for a serious 5K race\, or just a fun holiday event to burn some of the Turkey Day calories\, Santas On The Run is an event you don’t want to miss. \nSantas On The Run is a 5K Race and a 1 Mile Walk to benefit the Hall Township Food Pantry. \nEach participant will receive a lighted Santa Hat. Pre-registrants get their choice of a Hoodie\, sweatshirt\, or Long Sleeve T-Shirt. The value of the swag alone is worth more than the cost of registration. \nThe gun goes off to start the race/walk at 10:00AM on Saturday November 29th at JFK School in Spring Valley (999 N Strong Ave). \nDay of registration and packet pick up will be open from 8:30-9:30AM. \nWe have the later start time so you can still get your crazy shopping sprees in\, and still make it to the race. \nFor the serious runners\, the course is a certified measured 5K. It is mostly flat with two gentle hills. The race will be chip timed with computerized results\, and awards will be given to: Overall Male and Female Top Finishers\, and 1st\, 2nd\, 3rd \, 4th\, 5th\, to  age groups: 6 and under and 7-9\, and 1st\, 2nd and 3rd to age groups  10-14\, 15-19\, 20-24\, 25-29\, 30-34\, 35-39\, 40-44\, 45-49\, 50-54\, 55-59\, 60-64\, 65-69\, 70 and over. Oh yeah\, the awards will be Christmas ornaments. \nThere will be water/goodie stops at miles 1 and approximately 1.7. Traffic control will be provided to keep our runners safe. \nFor walkers and runners that are out to have some fun\, in addition to the typical water stops\, we will feature Holiday goodie stops (cookies\, candy and HOT CHOCOLATE)\, and at the end of the race…… there is more. \nIn addition to the monetary proceeds of the race going to the Hall Food Pantry\, in the Holiday spirit we are asking participants to donate non-perishable items and we have an incentive. \nFor each two non-perishable items a participant donates\, their name will be entered into a drawing for prizes and gift certificates donated by our event sponsors. Bring 4 non-perishables\, and your name goes in twice\, 6 three times…… The more you donate\, the more chances you have to win. Will it be worth it? You betcha. \nAs the race draws closer\, we will announce the various prizes that will be available with the raffle. \nOnce again we have a request for the Big Guy (Santa) to be there to start the race and possibly hand out awards. \nCLICK FOR PRINTABLE RACE FORM \nClick for on-line registration \n

DESCRIPTION:Get ready to experience the excitement of running on America’s longest Main Street in the historic town of Belleville\, IL\, situated in the heart of America and just a short drive from downtown St. Louis\, MO! As you make your way down Main Street\, enthusiastic volunteers will greet you on every corner\, providing incredible support and cheers with the charm of a Midwest small town. Our full marathon is a USTAF-certified Boston Marathon qualifier and features about 16 miles of city roads\, including Main Street\, and approximately 10 miles on a paved trail\, making both the full and half marathons accessible for runners of all experience levels! Participants will receive a soon-to-be your favorite everything T-shirt and a finisher’s medal as part of their registration. After the race\, join us for a celebration featuring Belleville’s Bennie’s Pizza Pub pizza\, a special beer brewed just for you by Belleville’s Shoehorn Brewing (for those ages 21 and older)\, and a DJ to keep the atmosphere lively as you celebrate your remarkable achievement. \nTIME: Both the full and half marathons will begin at 7 AM on Saturday\, September 27\, 2025. FULL MARATHON course support ends at 1:30 PM. The half marathon also runs through city streets\, showcasing America’s longest Main Street. \nCOURSE SUPPORT AND TIME LIMITS: Water and Gatorade stations will be available approximately every two miles along the course\, with Gu energy gels provided at various locations: around mile 10 for the half marathon\, and at miles 11.5\, 18\, and 23 for the full marathon.
