Starved Rock Country Half Marathon CANCELED 3-26-20 @ Washington Park
May 9 @ 7:30 am

CANCELED: 3-26-2020

With deep regret we need to let you know that we are unable to hold the 2020 Starved Rock Country Marathon, half and 5k. This decision weighed heavily on the board of Run Starved Rock Country but after talking with the State Park, the local emergency services, our sponsors and the direction of the CDC we need to look ahead to 2021.

If you registered for any of our 2020 races you are automatically registered for the 2021 equivalent. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns and we will try to answer them on a 1-to-1 basis. You can contact us at [email protected]

We understand the perseverance and hard work that goes in to training for our race… it’s that same dedication you have that we carry and makes us want to showcase the beauty of Starved Rock Country. That’s why we plan to use the sponsorships we’ve already received, along with Walmart Ottawa – Veterans Dr, and make a donation to the Starved Rock Country Community Foundation fund to preserve the trails of Starved Rock State Park.

When this pandemic is over, and it will end, we ask that you come and visit Starved Rock Country again and know that your passion helped make the beauty of our nature possible.

We’ll see you at the start line in 2021.
