Manhattan Irish Fest Parade 5K @ Manhattan Il
Mar 3 @ 11:00 am – 11:00 pm

We have become the largest winter 5K in Will County. We are the only race in North America that starts a parade, runs through out the parade route and is included in the festivities in the Irish Fest Tent. So no matter where you line up at the start line you are FLOAT #1. We are CARA certified, chip timed, and run on an official USATF track. 70% of the track has been repaved with in the last 5 years. Due to the parade parking is limited at the start line so we all gather at the Metra station and are bused to the start line. The last bus leaves at 10:30. But don’t worry as if you miss that bus you are only a 1 mile warm up run to the start line. At the end of the race the bus will bring you back to your car where you can change clothes than join us in the fest tent for the awards ceremonies. Also you can enjoy authentic Irish entertainment, enjoy a corn beef sandwich, and wash it down with a Guinness. durin the awards ceremony. Moose Miles 5k Run/Walk @ Ottawa Moose Lodge
Apr 21 @ 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

Welcome to the 9th Moose Miles 5K Run and Walk. The majority of the proceeds of this year’s event will benefit the local children of Mooseheart . Mooseheart is a residential child care facility supported solely by the Moose fraternal organization. The Child City is a home for children and teens, from infancy through high school. Mooseheart cares for youth whose families are unable, for a variety of reasons, to care for them. Some have lost one or both parents, others are living in environments that are not conducive to healthy growth and development. The Moose provides the children with a wholesome homelike environment and the best possible training and education. The proceeds of this event will help to furnish the resources necessary to care for these children. Please help to make this event a memorable and successful one. Hopefully, together with your support, we can raise funds for this important organization. The race course is a 3.1 mile paved course for runners and walkers that starts and finishes at the Moose Lodge in Ottawa. The course winds around the Dayton Township neighborhood featuring two hills and a calming atmosphere. Mile markers will be at each mile as well as water and times available along the course, and at the finish line.
