Healthy Kids Running Series-Bureau County Spring Series @ Zearing Park
Apr 7 @ 4:00 pm – May 12 @ 5:00 pm

Healthy Kids Running Series is a 5 week non-profit
designed to get kids ages 2-14 active. Races are held Sundays (with the exception of Easter) from 4-5pm.
Distances are as follows:
Pre-k 2/3- 50 yards
Pre-k 4/5 – 75 yards
K&1- 1/4 mile
2&3- 1/2 mile
4&5- 1 mile
6-8- 1 mile
The top boy and girl in each age group receives a trophy and each runner receives a finishers medal, t-shirt, and race bag. Packet pickup is tbd please refer to our Facebook page (Healthy Kids Running Series- Bureau County IL)for announcements. Parents are required to stay on premises and no pets allowed. Register by March 17 to guarantee shirt size by following the link below.

Starved Rock Runners Wednesday Night Workouts @ Lock 14 of the I & M Canal
Apr 24 @ 1:34 pm – 2:34 pm

Workouts vary from weeks to week. Groups of different ability levels do different workouts. Meet in the parking lot of Lock 14. The advanced group does a 2 mile warm-up run to Split Rock, performs the scheduled workout for the week (generally intervals), and then does a 2 mile cool down run back to the parking lot. Work out can be up to 8 miles total. Other groups and individuals may do workouts of as little as 2 miles total with some walkers.

Trail is paved for the first mile, and packed gravel for the rest of the distance.

Women’s Walk to Run Clinic 2019 @ Northwest School
May 6 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Registration & Meet the Volunteers Night Tuesday, May 21st  6:00-7:00PM @ Illinois Valley YMCA

Every Monday starting May 6 thru May 20th and Tuesday May 28th. 

Meet at Baker’s Lake in Peru on the west side and meet new friends and runners who will work with you at your leve of fitness to help yo reach your goal.

This is a FREE mini clinic. There are no registration forms, No obligations.

The mini-clinic is a perfect way to get a jump start for the beginning runner who plans to continue to run by joining the Women’s Running Clinic that starts with a registration night May 21, 6:00PM at the Peru YMCA.
