The TBK Quad Cities Marathon, a USATF certified course, captures the essence of our nation’s heartland with its consistent connection to the Mississippi River, amazing views, and Midwest charm.
Rated a fairly flat and fast course, it is a great Boston qualifier!
The race features one of the finest, most scenic river views in the country. It covers 5 races, 4 cities, 3 bridges, 2 states, and 1 island, all along the mighty Mississippi River.
The 26.2 mile run starts and ends at 1201 River Drive in downtown Moline, IL. The event benefits many worthy causes. Our primary cause is prostate cancer research & screening.
The Half Marathon is a Starved Rock Runner Circuit Race
This race is a Circuit Race for the Starved Rock Runners 2020 circuit.
Race sponsored by the City of Peru Recreation Department.
Race will observe the CDC Safety Guidelines: Participants will be required to wear a mask at registration, packet pick up and at the start line. Once a participant is on the course the mask can be work at their discretion, but everyone is encourage to practice social distancing (staying 6′ apart).
The start will be done in waves of 40 participants at a time, spaced 2:00 minutes apart. Start positions will be marked on the pavement, 2 rows with everyone spaced 6′ left to right and front to back. All waves will line up at once. Once the first wave has started, the second and following waves will move up in position, to be started 2 minutes apart.
The course starts and finishes in Washington Park near the corner of 9th and Park Rd. IVCH Fall Fitness Classic start). Everyone is responsible for their own hydration. There will be NO aide stations on the course.
Participants registered on or before Sept 30th will receive a unisex race shirt.
Race day packet pickup and registration will be available from 7:00-7:45AM race morning near the start finish line in Washington Park. Face masks are required at registration/packet pick up.

What could be better than running through a cemetery on Halloween night?? Trunk or Treating while running through a cemetery on Halloween night!!
The run/walk will start near the base of the Michael Sonnemaker statue and then wind past the mausoleums and monuments in Springdale.
(Don’t be afraid – all the spooks and goblins are trick-or-treating elsewhere.) Along the way there will be trunk or treat stations to fill your goodie bag!
There will also be a Virtual Ghosting Trot – for those who prefer to haunt in their own graveyards.
Runners are encouraged to run in costume and enter the costume contest just before the fun run, in compliance with all CDC social distancing guidelines.

A photo booth will be available for an enduring image of your fun! There will be a disinfectant station available – please wipe down the photo booth before and after each use. A volunteer will also be stationed at the photo booth for assistance.
All participants will receive a treat bag and memento of their run.
Participants are required to bring a headlamp/flashlight. Reflective gear is encouraged.

Santas On The Run benefits the Hall Township Food Pantry. You can run this 5K for time, or you can do it partake in the Holiday spirit. Preregistration includes your choice of a Long Sleeve T-Shirt, a crew sweatshirt or hoodie, a Santa Hat and Beard. All participants are encouraged to wear their hat and beard (and bells if you have them) in the run/walk, but it is not mandated.
There will be water stops at approximately 1 & 2 miles, that will also include Holiday treats (cookies and candy).
The race will start and end in the parking lot of John F. Kennedy School (800 N. Richards, Spring Valley). The course is accurately measured and will be on paved city streets. The course is mostly flat with a few gentle uphills (in the 5K). Traffic control will be posted at all intersections to keep participants safe. Split times available at every mile.
The race will be electronically timed with results to be posted on the Starved Rock Runners web site.
As an added bonus, for each two non-perishable item an entrant brings to donate to the food pantry, their names will be entered into a raffle to be held after the race, with chances to win gift certificates and prizes from race sponsors.The more items you donate, the better your chances of winning (watch the web site as the list of potential winnings grows).
Awards will be given to the overall Male and Female finishers, as well as the top three finishers (Male and Female), in each of the following age groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 and over.
Packet pick up and race day registration will be available from 8:30AM until 9:30AM at John F Kennedy School. Day of registration is not guaranteed a shirt.
