5k Run/Walk for ALS Awareness – Awards: male & Female 1,2,3rd place trophies. Trophies to first male & female Walnut finishers. – Medals to 1,2,3rd in age groups: – 10 & under – 11-14 – 15-19 – 20-24 – 25-29 – 30-34 – 35-39 – 40-44 – 45-49 – 50-54 – 55-59 – 60-64 – 65-69 – 70-74 – 75 & over – Timing and results will be provided by Racing Expectations. – Results will be available after the race is completed and will be posted at: www.racingexpectations.com and www.starvedrockruners.org. – Awards will follow. – No pets or bicycles allowed. – Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome to participate In case of race cancellation (due to events beyond our control) we thank you for your donation.
Friendly and fast 5K, starting at City Park in Streator, and running through quiet neighborhoods. The course is fairly flat and fast, with two small hills, and the course is an out and back route. The 5K Run For Glory kicks off Streator’s awesome 4th of July celebration. Nice trophies for first place overall male and female finishers, and for the first Streator male and female finishers. Medals for top three finishers in each age group. Male and female age groups are : 13 & under, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over. Water on course at 1 and 2 miles. T-shirts for all entrants. Walkers are welcome. Registration starts at 6:30 am with race starting at 8 am. Delicious fruit and beverages following the race. Finish and timing provided by Starved Rock Runners Club. Results will be posted at starvedrockrunners.org. Fun family event!
5K run / walk and Kids 1/2 mile fun run. Held in conjunction with the Galva Freedom Fest. Race includes chip timing, Da$h for Ca$h, we will also be giving away $100.00 for every 100 entries for the 5K run walk, and a most patriotic costume award. A full day of fun for the whole family and the night finishes with Henry Counties largest fireworks display. A pancake and sausage breakfast is also available the morning of the race at Wiley Park for a fee.
Genesis Firecracker Run start and finish lines are downtown East Moline (8th Street & 15th Avenue). 5K/10K Races at 7:30 A.M., Kiddie Run at 8:45 A.M., The Triumph Mile at 9:15 A.M., Hospital Bed Races at 10:00 A.M. Race day packet pickup – 6:00 A.M. – 7:30 A.M. at 733 15th Avenue, East Moline, IL 61244 (by starting line).
Race Date & Start Time: Tuesday, July 4, 2017 8:00am Race Start Location: Hennepin Park District Pool The course is relatively flat and out and back. Race will be held rain or shine. Packet Pickup & Registration: Tuesday, July 4th 6:30-7:30am Entry Fees: $20 Early Registration (Due By June 30th) $25 Late or Race Day Registration Team Entry (5 person): $75 Early Registration (Due by June 30th) $100 Late or Race Day Registration. Race shirts will be on a first come first serve basis with registration. Proceeds to raise money for the future travels of Putnam County music students.
5K Certified Course (IL09070JW) with splits at miles 1 and 2. It is Electronically timed with finish times available at the conclusion of the race. This is a flat, fast course with a few gentle hills and is looped through city streets. There will be water stops at miles 1 & 2. Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each age group and trophies for overall male and female runners. This will benefit the Bureau Valley High School Renaissance program–a program that includes ALL students at Bureau Valley High School and the Wyanet Community Club. Flat, fast course rolling through the streets of Woodhull. FREE Family Fun Run (1/4-mile loop) for little ones w/ free T-shirt and participant ribbon for the kids. 9 & under and 10-14 age groups for boys & girls in the 5K 5K walkers are always welcomed and eligible for age group awards! 72 trophies awarded in 24 age groups in the 5K (men and women…overall winners awards as well) Race kicks off a day of free events for kids celebrating summer fun. Plenty of activities for the kids from a petting zoo, mini train rides, face painting, 3pt/FT basketball shooting contests, water fights, and food vendors, crafts, and more at the park; topped off by events and supper on Main Street and a Street Dance with live band to close out the evening. This event is both a celebration of the ADA and a fundraiser for the Illinois Valley Center for Independent Living. We serve people with disabilities of any age without charge, enabling them to stay independent in their own community. We will have a race and a fun walk/roll. We’re pleased to offer special moisture wicking tech T-shirts to participants who pre-register by June 28, 2017.
