11th annual Woman’s Running Clinic @ Northwest School

Our goals are to improve motivation; promote health, fitness and self-confidence through a unique training program for woman by woman.
We are offering two training levels; Level One (for woman with little to no running experience), and Level Two(for beginner runners with some experience).
$15 early bird rate for Starved Rock Runner members by July 1st, $20 after July 1st
$20 early bird rate for non-members by July 1st, $25 after July 1st.
Coincides with the Starved Rock Runners Kids clinic at Baker Lake.
Free moisture wicking t-shirt included in registration fee.

Everyone meets at 6:00PM in the parking lot of Lock 14 just south of downtown La Salle.

Groups of various abilities do different work outs each week.

Training course is on the Tow Path which is a mix of asphalt and crush compacted gravel surfaces.

7th Annual Woodhull Fun Fest 5K- CANCELLED @ AlWood High School Park

Woodhull Family Fun Fest 5K Run/Festival and Street Dance
Entries are now being accepted for the 7th Annual Woodhull Family Fun Fest 5K set for Saturday July 18.
The 3.1 Mile run begins at AlWood High School; 301 E 5th Avenue, Woodhull at 8:00 a.m.
Early registration fee is $20.00 if received by July 13 and includes a performance t-shirt.
After July 13 registration fee increases to $25.00 through the morning of the race; shirt sizes on race day registration are not guaranteed.

Race day registration and packet pick-up will begin at 6:45 a.m. and conclude at 7:45 a.m. sharp.
The 5K course is flat and fast winding thru the streets of Woodhull and the rural countryside north of town.
Awards go to the top three finishers in each Male and Female age division.
The top Male and Female Woodhull Finishers and top Male and Female Ridgewood Cross Country Alumni will also earn trophies.
Walkers are welcomed and are eligible for all age group awards.
84 Trophies will be awarded in the following age groups: 9 & under, 10-14,15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64,65-69, and new 70 and over category.
Results, fruit, drinks, and snacks will be available after the race.
Free Family Fun Run (1/4-mile loop) for the little ones w/ free t-shirt and ribbon for the kids. Fun Run set to start at approximately 9:30 a.m. after 5K Trophy Presentations are completed.
The race kicks off a day of free events for kids in the park celebrating summer fun (this year including a sanctioned StrongMan Competition and kids’ tractor pull) including a pork chop lunch and ice cream social, topped off by supper on Main Street and a Free Admission Street Dance featuring Lynn Allen (8:00 p.m. to Midnight) to round out the evening.

2020 Kids Running Clinic presented by the Starved Rock Runners @ Baker Lake

Date: Every Monday beginning July 6thh thru August 10th, 2020.
Location: Baker Lake, Peru, IL, East entrance off of Airport Road.
Time: 6:00-7:00 PM.
 
Cost: $10.00. FREE for members of SRRL.
Includes:
Clinic Fees
T-shirt
Free entry to the Alzheimer’s 5k Run on August 157, 2020 for all who complete 4 clinic sessions.
 
Due to the guidelines set by the COVID-19 Pandemic, this years Clinic has had to make adjustments accordingly. The age range for this years Clinic will be 10 to 18. Total participation will be limited. Registrations will be taken on a first come first serve basis. Unfortunately it is anticipated some registrants will be turned away. Groups will be limited to ten (2 coaches, 8 kids). The Clinic will be practicing all of the guideline set forth for the Pandemics. Water and gator-aid will not be provided to the participants this year. It will be the responsibility of each participant to bring their own hydration fluids in a container with their name written on it, and a mask to be worn when the group is assembled. Participants will be required to practice the “6’ rule”. Any participant not following the rules set forth by the clinic will be dismissed from the Clinic.

10th Anniversary DePue Celebration 5K Run/Walk – CANCELLED @ DePue Fire Station
Aug 1 all-day

CANCELED: Due to the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Covid-19 and in conjunction with the cancellation of the 2020 US Title Series/APBA Pro National Boat Races, the DePue Celebration 5k scheduled for August 1 is being cancelled this year. It is with deep sadness that we have come to this decision, but we must keep in mind the safety of our participants, spectators, and volunteers. We hope to see you on the course in 2021!

This is the 10th Anniversary of our race in DePue, IL and the fourth year of our new course layout and we couldn’t be happier about our fun yet challenging course. This is a Certified Course will USATF. Yes we have hills but you get them out of the way prior to the 2 mile mark. We have splits at Miles 1 & 2 and 2 water stops. This year we are happy to once again to be a Starved Rock Runners Wild Card Circuit Race. Registration is available online beginning February 24 through July 17 at racesroster.com/events/2020/30028/10th-anniversary-depue-celebration-5k-runwalk. If you register prior to July 18, 2020 cost is $20 after that and including race day until 7:45am cost is $25. Packet pick up will be prior to race on day of event. D&M Road Race Scoring will be our timing company. Awards in Overall Male and Female, DePue Male and Female and Top 3 to each of 14 different age categories from 9 and under, 10 – 13, 14 – 19, 20 – 24, 25 – 29, 30 – 34, 35 – 39, 40 – 44, 45 – 49, 50 – 54, 55 – 59, 60 – 64, 70 and over. We will be offering water, bananas, oranges and adding some cookies for the post race goodies. We also have a social media page at facebook.com/DePue5K/. The DePue Men’s Club is proud once again to be the main sponsor. The DePue Men’s Club is a 501C3 charity organization and all profits made are given back to the community. If you haven’t tried our course give us a try we may surprise you.
