Wednesday Night Group Runs @ Lock 14 on the I & M Canal

Runners of all abilities are invited.
Group meets between 6:00-6:15 PM. Runners take off at 6:15 PM.
Group meets at Lock 14 on the I & M Canal, LaSalle
Length of runs vary. Runs are on the towpath.
Lock 14 is located off of Route 351 in LaSalle. Entrance to parking near Lock 14 is just North of ShippingsPort Bridge connecting LaSalle and Oglesby.

Race day registration will be open from 7:00-8:00AM. Packet pick up is from 7:00-8:15AM.

The course is fast and flat, utilizing residential streets with police traffic control. It is well marked with signs and painted streets. Accurate splits at 1 and 2 miles with water at the second mile. Restrooms are available for men and women. USA Track & Field Certifiction #IL12160JW

 

Participants will receive a shirt sleeve T-shirt and will enjoy a variety of refreshments after the race. This year’s shirt has another unique multi-colored design. T-shirts guranteed to all pre-registered participants.

Chip Timing by Racing Expectations Age Group Awards 14 and Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over T-Shirt Included Fee $20 Children 14 and under $15 After September 10th, fee is $25 and $20 for children Fun Run Fee is $10 The Aden Lamps Foundation is a 501(c)3 non profit organization. The Foundation donates sleep sacks (zip up wearable blankets) to all newborns born at St. Margaret’s Hospital, IVCH, and KSB Hospital, as well as La Salle County WIC.

Naplate Pasta Push 5K Run/Walk @ Naplate Village Hall, Naplate, Illinois

3.1 paved course starting and ending near the Naplate Village Hall winding through the streets of Naplate and turn around 1 mile in Ottawa. $20.00 before September 16, $25.00 after and through race day. Proceeds benefit Rick and Vittone Parks in Naplate. Pasta furnished after race by Annes Hine A Way and Casa Mia restaurants in Naplate while supply lasts.

Ottawa Oktoberfest 5K Beer Run/Walk @ Jordan Block, Downtown Ottawa

Start your Saturday night off right with a fun run/walk to benefit Ottawa First, the fireworks group. Afterwards, fill up your 2017 commemorative beer stein with your favorite beer and enjoy the best party in town! Authentic German food will be available for purchase. There will be plenty of live music and Bavarian themed games and contests for everyone to enjoy late Into the night! Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Special Awards will be given to both the overall top male and female finishers. One extra-special award will be given to the best dressed. – Scenic, flat, out-and-back style course. – Starts and ends in downtown Ottawa at Oktoberfest. – Route includes historic Ottawa Ave. – Ample parking available. – Electronically timed by Racing Expectations. – Water stations near mile markers 1 and 2. – Refreshments served after the race.

Quad Cities Marathon @ Moline, IL

—Saturday, September 23rd, 11:00 AM: Competitive Mile Run & Walk 1:30 PM: Kids MicroMarathon includes a 1-mile, ½ mile and ¼ mile —Sunday, September 24th, Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5-person Full Marathon Relay & 5K (all at 7:30 AM) —-Start and finish downtown Moline, Illinois —5 races, through 4 cities, over 3 bridges, in 2 states, on 1 island, all within the view of the Mighty Mississippi River —Events offered: marathon, half marathon, 5-person relay, 5K run/walk, 1- mile walk. On Saturday, September 23rd there are kids races (1-mile, 1/2 mile, 1/4 mile). —proceeds to benefit US Too! Prostate Cancer Organization of the Quad Cities —all courses are USATF certified, marathon course is a BQ (Boston Qualifier)
