The Quad Cities River Bandits annual “Race to Home” 5k and Fun Run is scheduled for Saturday, August 21st, 2021! This unique race benefiting our Bandit Scholars program provides fun and fitness for the whole family! This is a bi-state race between IL and IA.
Packet Pick Up on 8/20 and 8/21! Raffles, food, and drink will be available in the party plaza post-race to celebrate!

I know that running a road race is a. potentially hazardous activity; I should not enter and run or walk unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run. I assume the risks associated with running this event including, but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and or humidity, the conditions of the road and traffic on the course, all such risks are known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your acceptance of my entry, I for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Alzheimer’s Group, the City of LaSalle, LaSalle Grade School District #122,The Starved Rock Runners LTD. and all sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liability that may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver, I grant permission to all the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose.

Pre-registered racers can pick up their Race Packets at the Bureau County Metro Center on Friday, September 10th, from 1pm – 6pm. Day-of registration and packet pick-up begins at 7am, at the Bureau County Metro Center. The Kiddy Fun Run begins at 8am, with the 5k starting at 8:30am. The race begins and ends at the Bureau County Metro Center. The course includes 3 water stations with Splits at miles 1 and 2. Enjoy beautiful scenery and a challenging course. All pre-registered race and walk participants will receive a race T-Shirt. T-shirts available for day of registrants, while supplies last. Post race announcement of winners and award presentations. Refreshments and Showers available to all participants. Special awards will be given to Overall Top Male & Overall Top Female, as well as Top Male & Female from Princeton. Medals will be given to the top 3 finishers in each age group.
2021 marks the 20th anniversary of 9-11. The Illinois Valley Striders are hosting our second annual run to honor 9-11. This run will be open to run/walk 9.11 kilometers in person or virtually in an effort to remember those lost on 9-11-2001 and those first responders that we have lost during and since that tragic day.
The virtual run can be completed anytime and anywhere from September 4, 2021 through September 13, 2021. The physical race will start at the bottom of Glen Oak Park at 9:11am on Saturday 9/11/21, with a moment of silence beforehand. The race will then follow the Rock Island Trail into the Springdale Cemetery and wind around it’s perimeter, passing the grave of one of Peoria’s own who lost their life on that day.
Both events are $20 if received by 9/17/21– $25 day of race. New this year: Chip timing and online registration. Packet pick-up available between 7-8:15 am the day of the race at the North Pavilion of Renfrew Park. Awards will be given to the top overall race champions, top Dwight runners and top finishers in each age group for both males and females four deep. All 5k and fun run participants who finish will also receive a special gift to remember their accomplishment. The course is flat and fast, utilizing residential streets with police traffic control. It is well marked with signs and painted streets. Accurate splits at 1 and 2 miles with water. Restrooms available. Participants will receive a t-shirt and limited post race refreshments based on current mitigations. Shirts only guaranteed to those pre-registered by 8/31/21. Awards ceremony TBD
Fundraising event for St. Jude includes Family Friendly 1 mile walk, timed 5k, 10K and features the We Care Half Marathon…an out and back flat and fast half marathon course!
The event takes place on a challenging, unique course right on the grounds of St. Bede during Homecoming Weekend. Net proceeds from the event go to the Jim Lattin Scholorship Fund to benefit a student attending St. Bede Academy, with a portion toing to the St. Bede Alumni Association.
All participants receive a T-shirt.
Post-race refreshments and water will be provided.

The 10th Annual Holy Family Shuffle is a 3-Mile Walk/Run, starting and finishing at Holy Family School. Entry fee is $25.00 if received on or before 09/24/21 and $30.00 after 09/24/21, including race day. Family special – 4 or more from one family in one envelope (advance only) – $75.00 – limited to immediate family in the same household. A Kids Fun Run is also offered to children for $15 after the 3-Mile race. A free T-shirt is guaranteed to all who pre-register. Please mail registration and check to Holy Family School 336 Alice Ave. Oglesby, IL 61348. Runners are chip timed. Time and finish line are provided by Racing Expectations. A water stop is available at mile 2, and free drinks and snacks are provided after the race. Trophies are awarded to the top overall male and female finishers and top overall male and female Holy Family School students. Medals are awarded to the top 3 males and females in each age division. Age divisions include: 9 & under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & over. Race check in begins at 8:30 a.m. in the school gym on race day, and the race will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m.
