The Liberty 5K is a chip timed run on a certified course that takes runners through Nostalgic Downtown Morris and area parks and neighborhoods. The route is completely paved, primarily flat, with slight hills.
The Liberty 5k not only supports and honors local military personnel, but involves them in the event. But military involvement is just one of the keys to the success of this event. The Liberty 5K boasts a pre-race flyover, patriotic kids run, a master’s division, special awards for military personnel, cash awards and great give aways for all participants. Additionally, cash awards are given to the running clubs with the most participants – $750 for 1st place, $500 for 2nd place, and $300 for 3rd place.
The cost is $25.00 for pre-registered participants (by June 23) and $35.00 for those who register the day of the race. Registration for those 14 and under is reduced to $18.00 for those preregistered.

Starting line is in front of Bureau Valley North Jr. High. Check in at park tent south of the school.
All proceeds will be donated to ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) for research.

Join the Les Turner ALS Foundation for the Strike Out ALS 5k and 1 Mile Run, Walk & Roll at Guaranteed Rate Field on July 13, 2019. The Strike Out ALS event presents participants at any skill level with an opportunity to compete for those who can’t and race towards a cure for ALS.
Perfect for both competitive runners and families, the race features a timed 5k run beginning at 8:00am and a untimed 1 mile event starting at 9:15am. Participants start at the iconic home plate of Comiskey Park and finish with a lap around the warning track of the ballpark. Runners and walkers can stay for an after-party at the ChiSox Bar & Grill to celebrate finishing the race and enjoy food and drink specials.
The 5k fee is $40 and registration for the 1 mile distance is $25. Prices will increase on race day and registration will open at 7:00am. Free parking is available at Guaranteed Rate Field.

SRRL Circuit Race.
Entry Fee: $20.00 if postmarked before July 7th, $28.00 after July 7th, $2.00 discount to LRC and SRRL members before July 7th. NO DISCOUNT AFTER JULY 6th.
COURSE: A portion of Lake Bloomington’s Inner-Loop with a start and finish next to Green Gables. Splits at miles 1 & 2. Two water stops
AWARDS: Overall male & female, top three finishers in in of the following age groups: 8 & under, 9-14,15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60-64, 65-70, 71 & over.
This course is NOT closed to traffic. No headsets or strollers will be allowed during the race.

The 5K run begins at AlWood High School; 301 E 5th Avenue, Woodhull at 8:00 a.m.
Early registration fee is $20.00 if received by July 13 and includes a performance t-shirt.
After July 13 registration fee increases to $25.00 through the morning of the race; shirt sizes on race day are not guaranteed.
Race day registration and packet pick-up will begin at 6:45 a.m. and conclude at 7:45 a.m. sharp.
The 5K course is flat and fast winding thru the streets of Woodhull and the rural countryside north of town.
Awards go to the top three finishers in each Male and Female age division.
The top Male and Female Woodhull Finishers and top Male and Female Ridgewood Cross Country Alumni will also earn trophies.
Walkers are welcomed and are eligible for age group awards.
Trophies three-deep will be awarded in the following age groups: 9 & under, 10-14,15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and new 65 and over category.
Results, fruit, drinks, and snacks will be available after the race.
Free Family Fun Run (1/4-mile loop) for the little ones w/ free t-shirt and ribbon for the kids. Fun Run set to start at approximately 9:30 a.m. after 5K Trophy Presentations are completed.
The race kicks off a day of free events for kids in the park celebrating summer fun (this year including a sanctioned StrongMan Competition)including a pork chop lunch and ice cream social, topped off by supper on Main Street and a Free Admission Street Dance featuring Staggard the Band (8:00 p.m. to Midnight) to round out the evening.
This is the third year of our new course layout and our 9th year overall and we couldn’t be happier about our fun yet challenging course. This is a Certified Course will USATF and mapped out by John Steele of SRRC. Yes we have hills but you get them out of the way prior to the 2 mile mark. We have splits at Miles 1 & 2 and 2 water stops. Registration is available now online at racesonline.com/events/9th-annual-depue-celebration-5k-run-walk. If you register prior to July 19, 2019 cost is $20 after that and including race day until 7:45am cost is $25. Packet pick up will be prior to race on day of event. Once again D&M Road Race Scoring will be our timing company and they now have chip timing. We have awards in Overall Male and Female, DePue Male and Female and Top 3 to each of 14 different age categories from 9 and under, 10 – 13, 14 – 19, 20 – 24, 25 – 29, 30 – 34, 35 – 39, 40 – 44, 45 – 49, 50 – 54, 55 – 59, 60 – 64, 70 and over. We will be offering water, bananas, oranges and adding for this year some cookies for the post race goodies. The DePue Men’s Club is proud once again to be the main sponsor and we invite all participants and fans to join us at Lakeside to view the fastest sport on the water the weekend of July 26-28 2019. The 2019 National Championship Boat Races. The DePue Men’s Club is a 501C3 charity organization and all profits made are given back to the community.
OSF HealthCare Saint Paul Medical Center presents the 12th Annual CORNAPALOOZA! The race starts & ends at Lake Mendota. Race participants should follow signs and enter Lake Mendota property from Route 251/52 & Tom Merwin Drive. Follow signage for designated parking. The course will take you west outside of Mendota to take on the rolling hills & sights of rural Mendota. 10K course will include a 1-mile stretch of compacted gravel road. Runners will experience a mile or more of Lake Kakusha Trail! CORNAPALOOZA 10K is a Starved Rock Runners Ltd. Circuit Race • Pre-registration / Registration Opens at 6:30 a.m. • Race starts at 8:00 a.m. • Official Cornapalooza T-shirt for participants (size nor shirt guaranteed for late registrants) • 5K & 10K USATF Certified Courses (10k is a Starved Rock Runner Circuit Race) • Awards will be presented to the 1st overall male & female runners in the 5K & 10K runs. 1st through 3rd places will be awarded medals in each age group. All 14 & under receive participation ribbons. All traffic control & water stations will be pulled from roads as last runner passes or when 10K reaches 1 ½ hours. Not responsible for late starters on the course. NO double wide strollers allowed.
Benefits the Illinois Valley Alzheimer’s Group who provide free programs for families who are caring for loved ones, give donations to Nursing Homes with Alzheimer’s units and give donations to research.
The run is a USA Track & Field certified course (recertification pending) Record eligible.
