Wednesday Night Group Runs @ Lock 14 Parking Lot

Everyone meets at 6:00PM in the parking lot of Lock 14 just south of downtown La Salle.

Groups of various abilities do different work outs each week.

Training course is on the Tow Path which is a mix of asphalt and crush compacted gravel surfaces.

Bureau Valley 5K @ Wyanet Memorial Park

5K Certified Course (IL09070JW) with splits at miles 1 and 2. It is Electronically timed with finish times available at the conclusion of the race. This is a flat, fast course with a few gentle hills and is looped through city streets. There will be water stops at miles 1 & 2. Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each age group and trophies for overall male and female runners. This will benefit the Bureau Valley High School Renaissance program–a program that includes ALL students at Bureau Valley High School and the Wyanet Community Club. ONYX Scholarship Scoot @ Heritage Harbor of Ottawa

Pre-register for the race by email at onyx.illinois.5k@gmail.com od show up the day of the race. There is a minimum donation fee for the race of $25 which goes to the scholarship fund to help local Ottawa High and Marquette High school students with their college funds. Fee increased to $30 if paid on the day of the race.

There will be music, face painting, games, and lots of fun so be sure to bring the whole family. All runners and donors will receive a 2018 Scholarship Scoot 5K t shirt as well. The on-site restaurant will be open from 8am-9pm. We can’t wait to see you there!

2018 Kids Running Clinic presented by the Starved Rock Runners @ Baker Lake

Date: Every Monday beginning June 18th thru August 13th, 2018.
Location: Baker Lake, Peru, IL, East entrance off of Airport Road.
Time: 6:00-7:00 PM.
 
Cost: $10.00. FREE for members of SRRL.

Free entry to the Alzheimer’s 5k Run on August 20, 2016 for all who complete 5 clinic sessions.
 
 
Different programs for ages 7-18 based on abilities and goals.

Meetings will be held at the IV YMCA in the Board Room for the month of May of 2019.

Strike Out ALS 5k and 1 Mile Run, Walk & Roll @ Guaranteed Rate Field

Join the Les Turner ALS Foundation for the Strike Out ALS 5k and 1 Mile Run, Walk & Roll at Guaranteed Rate Field on July 17, 2018. The Strike Out ALS event presents participants with an opportunity to compete for those who can’t.

The 1 mile event will start at 6:45 p.m., and the 5k race will begin at 7 p.m. Participants start at the iconic home plate of Comiskey Park and finish with a lap around the warning track of the ballpark. Runners and walkers celebrate at an after-party at the ChiSox Bar & Grill where they can watch the MLB All-Star Game and enjoy food and drink specials.

The 5k fee is $40 and registration for the 1 mile distance is $25. Prices will increase on race day and registration will open at 5:30 p.m. Free parking is available at Guaranteed Rate Field.

IVCIL’s 4th Annual Run, Walk, Wheel @ St. Bede Acaemy

Registration starts at 7:00 am. $25.00 race day (no T-shirt),Pre-registered $20.00 by June 29th receives a moisture wicking t-shirt. Mail entry and fee to IVCIL, 18 Gunia Dr. La Salle, IL 61301.
Run is a Cross Country Course. Walk and wheel is an all paved course. Trophies to overall Male and Female ForeRunners. Medals to 1st Male and Female in each age group. Proceeds benefit programs of the Illinois Valley Center for Independent Living.
