Our 5K course has been certified by USA Track and Field and takes participants through the paved, flat streets of Chillicothe. The course begins and ends at Pearce. Refreshments, snacks, and the awards ceremony will take place in the banquet room immediately after the race.
Friendly and fast 5K, starting and finishing at City Park in Streator, and running through quiet neighborhoods. The course is flat and fast, with two small hills, and the course is an out and back route. Bib pick-up and race day registration being at 6:30 am on 6/30/18. The 5K Run for Glory is part of Streator’s awesome 4th of July celebration. Nice trophies for first place overall male and female finishers, and for first Streator male and female finishers. Medals for top three finishers in each age group. Male and female age groups are as follows: 13 & under, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 over. Water on course at 1 and 2 miles. T-shirts for all entrants. Walkers are welcome. Delicious fruit and beverages following the race. Results will be posted at starvedrockrunners.org. Fun family event! All proceeds to the Streator 4th of July celebration.
Awards: Male & Female 1,2,3rd place trophies.
Trophies to first male & female Walnut finishers.
Medals to 1,2,3rd in age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over. Awards will follow the race once the course is closed.
Timing and results will be provided by Racing Expectations. Results will be posted after the race and online at: www.racingexpectations.com and www.starvedrockrunners.org.
No pets or bicycles allowed. Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome to participate.

Start your Independence Day festivities early this year with some good fun and exercise! On July 3rd, 2018 the Morris Downtown Development Partnership (MDDP) will be bringing the 9th annual Liberty 5K Run/Walk back to downtown Morris!
The Liberty Run 5K Run/Walk will take place at 7:30 p.m. in downtown Morris. Beginning at Liberty and Jefferson streets, the course will take you through Nostalgic Downtown Morris, area parks, neighborhoods and returns downtown on Liberty Street. The course is completely paved, primarily flat, with some slight hills for a fast and enjoyable race. The Liberty 5K is a chip timed race on a certified course. The event honors, supports and recognizes our military personnel.
The cost is $25.00 for pre-registered participants and $35.00 for those who register after June 20th.

Everyone meets at 6:00PM in the parking lot of Lock 14 just south of downtown La Salle.
Groups of various abilities do different work outs each week.
Training course is on the Tow Path which is a mix of asphalt and crush compacted gravel surfaces.

Entry Fee: $20.00 if postmarked before July 6th, $27.00 after July 6th, $15.00 if you do want a shirt. $2.00 discount to LRC and SRRL members before July 6th. NO DISCOUNT AFTER JULY 6th.
COURSE: A portion of Lake Bloomington’s Inner-Loop with a start and finish next to Green Gables. Splits at miles 1 & 2. Two water stops
AWARDS: Overall male & female, top three finishers in in of the following age groups: 8 & under, 9-14,15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60-64, 65-70, 71 & over.
This course is NOT closed to traffic. No headsets or strollers will be allowed during the race.
