The 3rd Annual Defender Dash 5K/Fun Run & Pancake Breakfast (new this year) will be held on Saturday, October 21st. Fun Run (1/4 mile untimed run) begins at 8:30am and 5K begins at 9:00am. An all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast is included with registration this year. We will be serving from 7:30am-10:30am. Breakfast only (no race) tickets will be available for purchase by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Flat, fast and accurate course. Also includes a 1 mile walk. Water at 1 mile and 2 mile. Refreshments at finish, including breakfast bars, fruit and beverages plus one ‘adult’ drink ticket. More substantial post-race food available at cost. Check-in and late registration from 7:30am – 8:45am at Banana’s. Proceeds go all to IVC highschool bands program. Unique Awards: top three overall male and female. First place in each age group. 10 & under, then 5 year groups up to 70 & over. Both male and female. In addition: best costume both kids and adults. Beat the Celebrity Ghost Runner (this year it is Jenelle Deatherage) for bragging rights and be entered into a prize drawing. Entry fee: $20 thru midnight Oct. 1. $30 after Oct. 1. The event is held at the school and has a 5K distance set up, clearly marked through out the Ladd community. Registration is 8-8:45 am the day of the race. Entry fee is $25 ages 14 and up. The fee is reduced to $20 if registered by October 18, 2017. Entry fee is $10 ages 13 and under. To receive a t-shirt you must be pre-registered. There will be awards for the top Male and top Female runner in their age group. 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older. Best youth and adult costume prizes will also be awarded. The race is timed by Starved Rock Runners. The course is flat utilizing residential streets with police traffic control. Water, restrooms and refreshments will be available. Donations accepted. This is a fundraiser for the Ladd Community Education and Enrichment Foundation to benefit the students of the Ladd CCSD#94.
All runners will start at 10:00AM this year.
SRRL Crcuit Race. Race starts at LaSalle Peru High School in LaSalle, Illinois, ends in Utica Illinois. Runners are bused from Utica to LaSalle. This 10 (6.2 miles) race should result in many fast times, as the course features a downhill slope for the first .75 mile streatch. Runners will then enter the I-M Canal Towpath and run the next 4.2 miles on a flat, unpaved surface featuring rock formations and autumn scenery. The race will finish on a paved street near the Waltham South Elementary School in Utica. Split times will be called out at each mile along the course. Two water stations will be available with ambulance crews covering the entire course (the course has been measured by SRRL using Clain-Jones Counter Method. Certification with USATF).
This event has previously been held on the 3rd Sat. in June for the past 6 years. Due to heat concerns we are trying the Fall season this year! This is a 5K Walk/Run, Family friendly event, rain or shine. Race starts at 9:00 am, registration starts at 7:30 at the west entrance of the school (1000 Paul St., Ottawa). Race course incorporates parts of Ottawa’s beautiful River Walk and the I & M Canal. Walkers and racers of all ages are welcome. Free tots race (ages 2-8) at 8:30 am. Time and finish line provided by Starved Rock Runners, medals awarded to top 3 in 13 age groups, T-shirts guaranteed to all pre-registered participants. $20 fee by Nov. 3rd, $25 fee after Nov. 3rd. Water, restrooms and refreshments available. This event is a fundraiser for the Marquette Academy High School Cross Country and Track Programs. Thank you for your support!

The 3 Mile Run is a Starved Rock Runners, Ltd. Circuit Race. The Oglesby 3 Mile Turkey Trot, begins and ends at Holy Family School, 336 Alice Ave., Oglesby, IL 61348.
Race starts at 9:00AM sharp, regardless of weather.
Registration and packet pick up available Wednesday night from 4:30-6:30 at Holy Family School. Credit and debit Cards accepted. Race Day packet pickup will be from 7:00-8:30AM.
Entry fee is $21.00, $25.00 on Race Day. Family Special (4 or more from immediate family, in the same household, mailed in one envelope, Mail-In ONLY), $60.00.
Free Miller Lite Beer after race (Must be 21 years of age with an ID). Must have wristband-pick-up at registration). Free soda after the race. Free Thanksgiving Dressing after the race. Free cap guaranteed to FIRST 1,000 entrants.
Race is chip timed. No chip, no time!

Santas On The Run will benefit the Hall Township Food Pantry. You can run this 5K for time, or you can do it partake in the Holiday spirit. Preregistration includes your choice of a Red: Long Sleeve T-Shirt, a crew sweatshirt or hoodie, a Santa Hat and Beard. All participants are encouraged to wear their hat and beard (and bells if you have them) in the run/walk, but it is not mandated. There will be water stops at approximately 1 & 2 miles, that will also include Holiday treats (cookies and candy).
The race will start and end in the parking lot of John F. Kennedy School (800 N. Richards, Spring Valley). The course is accurately measured and will be on paved city streets. The course is mostly flat with a few gentle uphills (in the 5K). Traffic control will be posted at all intersections to keep participants safe. Split times available at every mile.
The race will be electronically timed with results to be posted on the Starved Rock Runners web site.
As an added bonus, for each two non-perishable item an entrant brings to donate to the food pantry, their names will be entered into a raffle to be held after the race, with chances to win gift certificates and prizes from race sponsors.The more items you donate, the better your chances of winning (watch the web site as the list of potential winnings grows).
We’re looking to make the race, the prizes and the swag (for those who pre-register), even better than this year.
Awards will be given to the overall Male and Female finishers, as well as the top three finishers (Male and Female), in each of the following age groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 and over.
Packet pick up and race day registration will be available from 8:30AM until 9:30AM at John F Kennedy School. Day of registration is not guaranteed a shirt.

Registration will be $12.00, the catch, No SHIRT, No SWAG. While the swag for this race is among the best around, if student foregoes receiving a shirt, the 50″ x 60″ soft fleece blanket (to the first 200 to sign up), and a swag bag with other goodies, the registration fee is just $12.00.

We have become the largest winter 5K in Will County. We are the only race in North America that starts a parade, runs through out the parade route and is included in the festivities in the Irish Fest Tent. So no matter where you line up at the start line you are FLOAT #1. We are CARA certified, chip timed, and run on an official USATF track. 70% of the track has been repaved with in the last 5 years. Due to the parade parking is limited at the start line so we all gather at the Metra station and are bused to the start line. The last bus leaves at 10:30. But don’t worry as if you miss that bus you are only a 1 mile warm up run to the start line. At the end of the race the bus will bring you back to your car where you can change clothes than join us in the fest tent for the awards ceremonies. Last year’s 5K SHAMROCKED! Please join the fun at our 2nd annual event. Registration/check-in opens race day at 8:30 a.m. in the Holy Cross School Gym (Bathrooms available). Official HCS t-Shirts guaranteed for participants who pre-register by Feb. 26th, 2018. The race starts and ends at Holy Cross School. Race will be through the streets of Mendota (USATF Certified 5K course and finish line is by Starved Rock Runners Ltd.). Awards will be presented to the 1st overall male and female runners in the 5K. 1st-3rd places will be awarded medals in each age division for male/female. Age divisons: 9 and under, 10-12, 13-16, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over. Make sure to think green and wear green. There will be fun prizes and light refreshments following the race. All proceeds to benefits Holy Cross School. Race continues rain or shine. In case of sever weather leading to cancellation, thank you for your donation. No refunds. Following the 5K, there will be a Shamrock Dash for the young running enthusiast!
32nd LORI’S WALLEYE RUN 5K – MARCH 24th, 9:00AM @ HALL HIGH SCHOOL IN SPRING VALLEY

Race day registration will be in the lobby at Hall High School (go through the front doors, on the south side of the school, turn left), from 7:30 – 8:30AM
The Course is Certified Distance with Splits at mile 1 and 2. The race will be electronically timed and Computerized Race Results with results posted on Starved Rock Runners web site. There will be a water stops on course just past the 1 and 2 mile points. There will be traffic control on the course. Refreshments will be available after the race. Long Sleeve T-Shirt is only guaranteed to those per-registered by noon on 3/28.
Divisions: Awards & Age Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers in each age bracket, the Overall Male & Female Finishers, & the top Male and Female Finisher from Spring Valley. Age Divisions: (one each for Male & Female) 9 & under, 10-13, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over.

THE COURSE: The race begins and ends in the parking lot of Hall High School. The start line will be in the south east corner of the parking lot, and the end will be very near the sidewalk leading to the front doors of the new school. The course is an out and back. Thanks to volunteers from the Spring Valley Walleye Club, we will have traffic control at every intersection on the course to help keep you safe. While our Race Marshall’s will do everything they can to keep you safe, the race is on city streets, and the streets will not be shut down to traffic, so please be aware of potential traffic.
THE AWARDS CEREMONIES: Will be held in the comfort of the beautiful cafeteria of Hall Hall School, where all of the post race food and refreshments will be.
