Come join us!! This 5k run/walk at the beautiful Lake Kakusha in Mendota, IL will be held in memory of James Dankenbring. All proceeds go towards a scholarship to Mendota High School students in James’s name. The course is a fast, all terrain trail that circles the lake. The property is well maintained, established grass trails through wooded and prairie lots. The course will be well marked and equipped with water stations at miles 1 & 2. Registration is $20 in advance, $25 on race day. Registration forms and online registration are available at www.thankdank.org. Race day registration is from 8am to 9:45, race at 10 sharp. –For the younger crowd a Fun Walk around Lake Mendota will start at 10am as well with games and snacks. Kids 10 and under can participate in the Fun Walk for free. Child sized shirts are $10 and the order must be placed by April 20th to firstname.lastname@example.org. –Sweatshirts are available for purchase by request, limited number available on race day.
